As many of you know Bladder Cancer is my chosen cause. I have been raising money for Bladder Cancer since 2012 as a volunteer. Since that time I have seen Team Ottawa raise over $1m dollars. Last year we raised $70K and I am proud and grateful to be working with my Co- lead for the walk, Stefanie Speranza. With your help we can do that again and surpass it as this will be my 12th year doing the walk in Ottawa.  I love my Bladder Cancer Family and I also  lead the Bladder Cancer Support Group which I have been running since 2013.  I am very proud of the work we have done for folks newly diagnosed and those who have had many challenges. This group of bladder cancer survivors has shown great strength and resilience in their cancer journey as they all play it forward to help others.  That it is beauty of this group. We hope that we can continue to help others. But to do that Bladder Cancer Canada needs your help and support. 

Bladder Cancer Canada and I along with the Ottawa Bladder Support Group Team will be participating in Canada's Walk for Bladder Cancer in Ottawa on Sunday Sept 22, 2024 starting from the Fairmont Chateau Laurier.  Please mark your calendar and plan to join me and my fellow supporters and survivors as we walk the downtown core to bring awareness to bladder cancer.  

We know Bladder Cancer is the 5th most common cancer among men yet it remains one of the most expensive cancers to treat, and has a high recurrence rate yet it receives very little research funding. Therefore in order to do more research we need more funds. Unfortunately we expect over 13,000 Canadians will be newly diagnosed this year, adding to the 90,000+ survivors.
