Since 2011 participants from across Canada have helped Bladder Cancer Canada support patients, fund research and raise awareness during their annual walk event.

Once again I will be a member of the Ottawa Bladder Cancer Support Group team for this year's walk.  The team is made up of patients, survivors, their caregivers and family from the Ottawa area community and volunteers like me.  Together we are raising money by participating in Canada Walks for Bladder Cancer.

 
Bladder cancer is the most expensive cancer to treat, with a high recurrence rate and yet it receives very little research funding. This year over 13,000 Canadians will be diagnosed - adding to the 80,000+ survivors which includes my dad.
