We are raising money again this year in support of Bladder Cancer Canada by participating in Canada Walks for Bladder Cancer. Since August 2013, 3 months after Nat’s radical cystectomy, our family has tried diligently to help others by supporting BCC in its mission to support patients, their families and research to eradicate bladder cancer. We hope that by increasing awareness to the general public and to general practitioners, BCC will be able to get bladder cancer patients the care they need in a timely fashion.

Bladder cancer is one of the most expensive cancers to treat, with a high recurrence rate. Unfortunately it receives very little research funding. This year, another 12,500 Canadians will be diagnosed, adding to the 80,000+ survivors.
