I’m raising money in support of Bladder Cancer Canada by participating in Canada Walks for Bladder Cancer.

My Father, Johan,  was diagnosed with bladder cancer in 2021. He is 89 years old and lives in beautiful Merrickville Ontario. He has undergone many surgeries, and his treatments continue to hopefully stop his cancer from causing him to lose his bladder or spread to other parts of his body.

I have been working in Urology for 2.5 years and have spoken to countless patients dealing with bladder cancer and the toll it has taken on them. 

Canada Walks for Bladder Cancer is a national walk, with participants from across Canada uniting to increase awareness and raise funds to support Bladder Cancer Canada.

Bladder cancer is one of the most expensive cancers to treat, with a high recurrence rate it receives very little research funding. This year, another 13,300 Canadians will be diagnosed, adding to the 80,000+ survivors.
