Update #1: Sept 2, 2024

Wow! Thank you all - the kind words of support and generosity are amazing.  Wayne is scheduled for more surgery this week, and knowing so many people have his back is touching. 

We’ve already raised more than half of the goal and I’ve started getting some steps in towards the 10M centimetres now that September is here.

Update: Aug 24, 2024

I’m raising money in support of my big brother, Wayne, and Bladder Cancer Canada by participating in Canada Walks for Bladder Cancer.

Canada Walks for Bladder Cancer is a national walk, with participants from across Canada uniting to increase awareness and raise funds to support Bladder Cancer Canada.

During the month of September, I pledge to walk 10 Million centimetres. That’s almost 4 Million inches for you older folks.  It may not seem like it but, if you’ve seen me, you’ll understand what a challenge it is going to be.

It’s nothing like the challenge Wayne has faced though.  Bladder cancer sucks.

It is one of the most expensive cancers to treat, with a high recurrence rate it receives very little research funding. This year, another 13,300 Canadians will be diagnosed, adding to the 80,000+ survivors.
