Team Assphalt
When the rubber hit the road Perry Bortolotti was large, in charge and always in control. Perry was a professional autoracing champion, businessman, husband, father, son, brother, Nonno and friend. In business and in life Perry always navigated to excellence. His love of the track gave him some late 2023 summer Mosport laps but sadly in early fall Perry succumbed to bladder cancer.
In memory of Perry, Team Assphalt is again raising money and participating in Canada Walks for Bladder Cancer. Team Assphalt first participated in Canada Walks for Bladder Cancer in 2022 and Perry led the charge!
For the past 14 years Walk participants from across Canada have helped Bladder Cancer Canada raise funds, support patients and raise awareness. Feel free to join Team Assphalt's 3rd year at the Walk Saturday September 21, 9:30 am at the Chateau Laurier Hotel. The downtown 3 km Walk starts at 10 am and ends around noon.
Bladder cancer is the most expensive cancer to treat, with a high recurrence rate and yet it receives very little research funding. This year, another 13,300 Canadians will be diagnosed - adding to the 80,000+ survivors.
