The Ottawa Bladder Cancer Support Group
We are so proud of the Ottawa Bladder cancer Support Group Team who has been raising money for Bladder Cancer for over 10 years by participating in Canada Walks for Bladder Cancer in Ottawa. To date we have raised over half a million dollars these past years.
Participants from right across Canada have helped Bladder Cancer Canada support patients and raise awareness with walks in almost every province. In Ottawa we run a monthly Bladder Cancer Support Group and we offer Bladder Cancer Survivor Ambassadors support to newly diagnosed patients. As well we run this Ottawa walk.
Bladder cancer is the 5th most common cancer, the most expensive cancer to treat, with a high recurrence rate and yet it receives very little research funding. This year, another 13,300 Canadians will be diagnosed - adding to the 80,000+ survivors.
