Location Details:
- City park is located next to Kingston General Hospital (KHSC), The Centre for Advanced Urologic Research, Queens University, and lakeshore Breakwater Park.
- Walk route approximately 2.2km through the treed park and along the lakeshore passing KHSC.
- The Walk start location is at the north end of the park in-front of the maintenance building.
- Traditionally approximately 50 attendees from Kingston and surrounding area.
This year the Kingston Walk is thrilled to offer:
- A light lunch after the Walk for registered walkers
- Free parking in the Court House parking lot across the road from the Walk set-up
- Opportunity to hear from our guest speaker Dr. Leveridge, Head of the Queen's Urology Department
- Draw for a door prize of a $100 Grocery Gift Card for a registered walker who is present at the event
- First choice prize from items donated by local business for the Top Fundraising Team Captain and Top Fundraising Individual
- Awareness Table - displaying BCC videos and printed materials tended by Gerry Ross, former patient and community volunteer
- Scavenger Hunt - once you have registered online, visit and like our local Facebook page; Bladder Cancer Canada Awareness - Kingston. Look for the post containing the link to the Scavenger Hunt questionnaire that is live online now! Answer questions provided by our sponsors for a chance to choose from over $400 of prizes donated by local business at the Walk! Games rules are provided on the questionnaire.
